Starting a business

If you spend a little time up front you can avoid a huge headache later.

I was so impressed today. I was talking to a painter/decorator who wanted to make sure he had the right employment agreement and job descriptions lined up for when he employs his first staff member – shortly. He already has his health and safety policy and documents in place, a business mentor, an accountant and a bank. It’s probably only a couple of hundred dollars for each – but getting the agreements and documents in place up front can avoid penalties or settlements of tens of thousands in future.

Do you know someone starting up – point them in the right direction.
