Independent Directors
A useful way to help you direct your business – especially when you are stepping back from heavy involvement in the day-to-day running.
I have had a couple of instances this week where company owners are seeking to make some changes to how they manage their businesses. One of the biggest challenges an owner can face is when they start delegating authority (both financial and people management). It can be very hard to “let go” the reins. A really useful way of helping yourself with these changes is to appoint an independent director. These individuals not only provide someone to whom you can hold yourself accountable, but they also provide a fresh view on business and an independent person to assist with disputes.
If you need such a person, I work closely with a couple I can point you to.
