No, I am not talking about bringing drinks to work. But this is a different idea relating to employing the technological generation: Bring Your Own Devices!
Results.com is one organisation doing this – a $120 per month allowance to reimburse the costs of providing their own laptop/phone etc. Sure, you have to manage the security aspects of this, but this is not generally difficult. What it means is that the company doesn’t have to buy, maintain and replace all the technology – and it means staff work with equipment they are familiar with and hence more productive on! It must be worth thinking about.
