90-day Trial Notice

A court has just ruled you cannot pay in lieu of notice and rely on the 90-day trial

This judgement is to be challenged, but for the moment you should be aware that if you are terminating someone’s employment under a 90-day trial period, you must give them notice and have them work it out. Written advice of notice must be given to the Employee and start within the 90 days, even if the notice period finishes outside it.
